“I have been working for Ringette Canada for the past 27 years. I started as a secretary and I am now the office manager. I have been fortunate enough to be onsite doing stats for many Canadian Ringette Championships. Ringette is a very important part of my life and has become a family to me. I have had the privilege of working with some outstanding individuals who have made me the strong and passionate person I am today. In 2005 I became a ringette mom. Seeing my daughter for the first time with her team on the ice, having fun, and the smiles on their faces was all that matters. The most rewarding thing about working for ringette was being able to share the same love of the game with my daughter and husband. For the past 11 years, I have been following my daughter’s league games, provincial championships, Quebec Winter Games and Canadian Ringette Championships. Words cannot explain the feeling I had when I saw her play her first game at the Canadian Ringette Championship. It truly was an amazing moment for me. Ringette has become our life and we have met great people and have made lifelong friendships throughout the years. The memories will forever be part of my life.” – Anik Desjardins (Gatineau, Quebec)
