Dalia Tabacman
“My name is Dalia Tabacman and I am ten years old. I wear #41 on the ice and I play ringette for the Pierrefonds/DDO Lynx. This past season I played Atom C and my dad was the head coach. We are one of several associations on the island of Montreal. I started to play ringette in 2015. I got hooked on the sport after spending a weekend with my 12-year-old sister at a tournament in Ottawa. I saw how much fun the girls were having on and off the ice and I was hooked! This past season, I had so much fun. I also convinced some of my best friends to join me and we never looked back. Many of the players on my team were first time players and we all bonded so well as a team. If we won or lost, it didn’t matter. We all supported each other and encouraged each other to get better. By the end of the year, we started winning most of our games and we all improved so much. I am so happy I started to play this great sport. I am also happy I got to meet so many new girls. We are all very close and promised to keep in touch and get together as often as possible. Thank you ringette for introducing me to a great sport and I hope to convince many more friends to play next season.” – Dalia Tabacman – Dollard Des Ormeaux, Quebec
