“I remember ten years ago when my daughter Kelsey came home from school and said she wanted to play ringette with her friends. We signed her up for Bunnies and from there I was hooked! I always played a part in helping with any team Kelsey was on from helping manage the team, fundraising, team clothing, 2nd Mom to many and co-convening for Southdale Community Club. I have tons of best memories of ringette already, but best one so far is U16AA Team Manitoba winning Gold at CRC2015 topped off by Kelsey getting defensive player of the game and 1st line All Star. Such a proud moment! My love for this sport continues to grow each year and what makes it so unique is not only having to stab a ring at high speed but having to pass it over the blue line keeping all the players involved showing not only precision and skill but such TEAMWORK! This game brings people together. I love how the parents come together over the season. It makes it all such a group effort and there are so many faces of ringette out there! My 2nd fav memory is my new Nova Scotia family that I have now, after hosting and billeting the NS U19AA team for our annual Voyageur Tournament at the end of January this past season!” – Kate Wiebe (Winnipeg, Manitoba)
