“I became involved in ringette over 30 years ago when the vice president phoned and ask me to help coach the junior team at that time. I said I don’t know much about ringette, as my daughter was only a second year player at that time. Well I am still here as a coach, executive board and a ref. I have been able to coach my daughter and lately, over the years, all six of my grandkids. Over the years I have been very fortunate to be able to coach in the Northern BC Winter Games, BC Winter Games, Western Canadian Ringette Championships and National Ringette Championships and was able to take a team of northern girls to play in Finland in January 2016. I have meet such a great groups of players, parents and people involved with this great sport all over Canada. In Northern BC we have to work together to promote our sport, so it involves travel over great distances to play games, but we all do it for the love of the game. It’s still a great pleasure to go to Quesnel, Houston, Vanderhoof, Terrace and Burns Lake and see these players as adults and talk about what a great time they had in ringette.” – Keith Sullivan (Prince George, BC)
