Alexis Snowdon began playing ringette when she was six and went on to become a very accomplished ringette athlete, winning gold on a number of provincial, national and international teams. Alexis officially hung up her skates in 2006, but has continued to be involved in ringette as a coach and a volunteer. Alexis has an amazing passion for the game and became well known for her defensive abilities. She was a quick, agile, fearless and tough defender who continuously learned and adjusted her game to cover and shut down some of the best ringette goal scorers in the world. She was the type of athlete who led not only by example, but willingly gave her opinion on what she thought was best for the team.
