Jim Dawson

Jim Dawson has been involved with ringette as a parent, coach and visionary administrator for over 23 years. Jim was a long-serving member of the Ringette Canada board where he has served as President, VP Promotions and VP Administration. He was instrumental in the implementation of Ringette Canada’s current governance structure as well as the development of their strategic plan and was the founding chairman of the National Ringette League. He has also been very involved in his home province as a past president of both Ringette Alberta, and the St. Albert Ringette Association. Over the years, Jim was instrumental in developing strategic, promotional, development and financial plans at the local, provincial and national level. Moreover, Jim participated in and chaired several international ringette development sessions, most recently in November 2007, to evaluate and determine more effective means to grow and develop ringette in jurisdictions around the world.
