2024-25 National Ringette League Award Finalists

The awards program recognizes the performance of NRL athletes during regular season play with trophies for Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, Top Forward, Top Centre, Top Defense, and Top Goalkeeper. These awards along with awards for Team Personnel of the Year, NRL Top Scorer, NRL Scoring Champion, and NRL Volunteer of the Year will be announced at the CRC closing banquet on April 5, 2025.

Nominees for the NRL awards include the following:

Rookie of the Year (the most outstanding athlete in their first year of NRL competition) 

  1. Ashley Anderson – Calgary RATH
  2. Sophie Daigle – Atlantic Attack
  3. Lauren Schoenhofen – Saskatchewan Heat
  4. Claire Wyville – Cambridge Turbos

Most Valuable Player (the athlete judged to be the most valuable to their team) 

  1. Gillian Dreger – Edmonton WAM!
  2. Sarah Macdonald – BC Thunder
  3. Jenny Snowdon – Atlantic Attack
  4. Kelsey Youldon – Waterloo Wildfire

Top Centre (the most outstanding athlete that played predominantly the centre position) 

  1. Julie Blanchette – Montreal Mission
  2. Emily Chénier – Gatineau Fusion
  3. Gillian Dreger – Edmonton WAM!
  4. Justine Exner – Calgary RATH
  5. Kelsey Youldon – Waterloo Wildfire

Top Forward (the most outstanding athlete that played predominantly forward position) 

  1. Molly Chorney – Edmonton Black Gold Rush
  2. Mégane Fortin – Montreal Mission
  3. Taylor Hildebrand – Manitoba Herd
  4. Laurence Larocque – Rive-Sud Revolution

Top Defense (the most outstanding athlete that played predominantly the defense position) 

  1. Jaqueline Gaudet-Senior – Waterloo Wildfire
  2. Melissa Misutka – Edmonton WAM!
  3. Alexandra Trudel – Montreal Mission
  4. Rachel Ung – Calgary RATH

Top Goalkeeper (the most outstanding goalkeeper) 

  1. Brea Beck – Calgary RATH
  2. Kaylee Davies – Manitoba Herd
  3. Sarah Macdonald – BC Thunder
  4. Cam Schnarr – Waterloo Wildfire
  5. Annie Trudel – Montreal MIssion

Team Personnel of the Year (the most outstanding coaching staff group of the year, this award is voted on by the teams)
