CRC Day 5 – April 4, 2024

Ontario, Ontario – April 4, 2025 – The stage is set, the medals are polished, and ringette fans coast to coast wait in anticipation to see who takes home the Golden Sticks. The fifth day of the 2024 Canadian Ringette Championships brought another exciting day of ringette for fans, as well as an incredibly successful youth and adult Come Try Ringette session.

In the National Ringette League (NRL) division, the Montreal Mission will face the two-time defending champion Edmonton WAM! for the gold medal at 1 p.m. ET, and the Rive-Sud Revolution and Calgary RATH will battle for bronze at 11 a.m. ET. The Atlantic Attack defeated the Waterloo Wildfire 5-1 in the consolation final. The annual NRL Awards will be awarded at the closing ceremony at 7 p.m. ET at the University of Ottawa. A list of finalists can be found here.

This year, we are honoured to bestow a new trophy on the National Ringette League division named for the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada. Ringette Canada is incredibly proud to have this new trophy endorsed by the Governor General and it will be the first time a National Ringette League Trophy has featured the Inuktitut language.

The new ‘Mary May Simon Cup’ will be presented by the Governor General herself following the gold medal game as part of the Canadian Ringette Championships, to occur at 1 pm at the Slush Puppie Centre in Gatineau on April 5th, 2025.  The Governor General is a proud supporter of female leadership and wants to ensure that there are sporting opportunities for women and girls across the country.

In the U19 division, the Calgary Bold will face Équipe Québec at 10:30 ET in the bronze medal game. The gold medal will be contested at 3 p.m. ET by the Zone 2 Blaze and Cyclones de Québec. Team Nova Scotia will face Lac-St-Louis in the consolation game at 10 a.m. ET.

In the U16 division, the Richmond Hill Lightning will face Équipe Québec at 8:30 ET in the bronze medal game. The Calgary Riot and Team Alberta will battle for the gold medal at 9:00 a.m. ET. Calgary Fuze will face the Edmonton Ringette Club at 8:00 ET for the consolation final.
