CRC Day 6 – April 5, 2025
Ottawa, Ontario – April 5, 2025 – The final day of the 2025 Canadian Ringette Championships brought a week of high-level ringette to a close, as winners were crowned and awards presented across all divisions. The week was not only full of incredible play on ice, but also many off-ice moments that embody the true camaraderie and friendship that comes with playing ringette.
In the National Ringette League (NRL) division, the Montreal Mission defeated the Edmonton WAM! in the gold medal game, bringing the trophy back to the East for the first time since 2018. The Rive-Sud Revolution won bronze, marking the highest finish for the team since they entered the NRL.
In the U19 division, Zone 2 Blaze beat the Cyclones de Quebec for the title of U19 National Champion, upgrading from their bronze medal at last years event. The Calgary Bold won their bronze medal game against Equipe Quebec.
In the U16 division, the Calgary Riot defeated Team Alberta to claim the gold medal. Equipe Quebec won against the Richmond Hill Lightning in the bronze medal.
At the NRL Awards, the following winners were announced:
Rookie of the Year: Sophie Daigle – Atlantic Attack
Most Valuable Player: Jenny Snowdon – Atlantic Attack
Top Centre: Gillian Dreger – Edmonton WAM!
Top Forward: Laurence Larocque, Rive-Sud Revolution
Top Defense: Melissa Misutka – Edmonton WAM!
Top Goalkeeper: Sarah Macdonald – BC Thunder
Team Personnel of the Year: Montreal Mission
NRL Scoring Champion: Britney Snowdon – Atlantic Attack
NRL Top Scorer: Jenny Snowdon – Atlantic Attack
NRL Volunteer of the Year: Emily Chènier – Gatineau Fusion
