International Ringette Federation Committee Nominations
February 8, 2024
ABOUT | À PROPOS
The International Ringette Federation (IRF) is the governing body for international ringette. As we move into a new IRF cycle, it is time to fill out the IRF’s committees: the World Ringette Championship Committee, and the Promotion Committee. Ringette Canada seeks to collect the information of interested parties, who we can nominate to these committees. Please submit your application before March 1, 2024.
Please see the position outlines linked here for the full committee roles and responsibilities.
*Please note: While we are accepting applications in both English and French, the IRF conducts its business and meetings in English only, including committee work.
World Ringette Championship Committee
The WRC Committee is responsible for all rules, regulations, and instruction connected to the sport of ringette or main IRF-sanctioned events like the WRCs. The committee will be comprised of, at minimum, a Chairperson, Secretary, Communications Coordinator, Technical Advisor, and WRC Advisor. Members will work collaboratively, be innovative, and execute the World Ringette Championship alongside representatives from other Member nations.
Promotion Committee
The Promotion Committee is responsible for support for developing ringette. This includes promotion and marketing initiatives, maintaining IRF internet platforms, web-based and social media operations, supporting national sport governing bodies in their start-up phase, and assisting in organizing ringette promotional events in non-ringette nations. The Promotion Committee also selects, guides, and supports ringette ambassadors. The committee will be comprised of, at minimum, a Chairperson, Secretary, Communications Coordinator, Webmaster, and Start-Up Advisor.
