Jasmine Leblanc selected to carry the Canadian flag at the 2022 World Ringette Championships Opening Ceremony

It is with great pleasure that we announce the selection of Jasmine Leblanc as the designated athlete that will carry the Canadian flag at the 2022 World Ringette Championships Opening Ceremony. Jasmine has been a key member of the National Team program for many years and is a leader on and off the ice. Ringette Canada is proud to have this caring, passionate, dedicated athlete lead our teams as they officially begin the competition. What a privilege it is for our teams, our organization and our nation to have Jasmine step into this role and lead us into our quests for Gold.

‘I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be the flag bearer for our country at the opening ceremony for the upcoming World Championships. This memorable opportunity has prompted me to take some time to reflect on our sport and how far we have come. Each one of you, relentless and resilient humans, have inspired and influenced so many all over our country. It is my wish that you all feel very proud of wearing the Leaf, because I surely am so proud of us and who we are. We are in a position to make history together and bring our two trophies back home (apologies in advance to Ringette Canada for the extra baggage fees). Thank you for trusting me with our flag and to lead our Team to success. We are ready.’
