La Relève U17 event, attendees announced
Ottawa, ON – July 8, 2023, Ringette Canada is pleased to announce the athletes who will be attending its annual La Relève U17 event. The three-day event will take place at WinSport Arena – Calgary, Alberta from October 26-31, 2023, and serves as an entry point into the high performance pathway for ringette athletes, coaches and officials. Centralizing alongside the U18 program and the Junior National Team tournament coincide with the World Ringette Championships.
“We are pleased to be able to provide graduating U16AA athletes with the opportunity to take part in a high performance environment (including practice sessions, games, classroom sessions and fitness testing) at the La Relève event. Athletes joining us this year have a unique opportunity as well to watch the Junior National Team take on Finland in exhibition play at the World Championships also taking place in Calgary” said Kristen Leblanc, National Teams and Leagues Coordinator. “La Relève also provides developmental opportunities for our ringette coaches and officials from around Canada as they progress through their individual high performance pathway.”
There will be 68 athletes attending La Relève U17 2023. Athletes participating in the event include:
