The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum is a registered charitable organization, managed by a volunteer board of directors. Every year, we host a series of fundraising events—like the induction ceremony–that allow us to fulfill our mandate of honouring and celebrating those who have left their mark on Manitoba’s rich sport history.
Another way we realize our vision is by curating feature exhibits in the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame Gallery presented by the Riley Family. The feature exhibit, 90 Years: A Blue and Gold Story, is currently showcased in the Gallery at 145 Pacific Avenue in the Sport Manitoba facility. The exhibit includes a spotlight on their first Grey Cup victory in 1935, memorabilia from the latest two Grey Cup championships, the excruciating drought years fans had to endure between Grey Cup wins, and more about the Bud Grant dynasty era.
“We are honoured to announce a new slate of inspiring and deserving inductees to the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. These inductees have cultivated outstanding careers with remarkable stories throughout their journeys, and have certainly earned this recognition. As we reflect on their impactful contributions to sport, we want to congratulate the class of 2022 on your upcoming inductions!”
Janet McMahon, President and CEO, Sport Manitoba
“Today’s announcement of the new inductees as Honoured Members to the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame represents the best that sport has to offer: excellence, dedication, leadership, dealing with adversity, and teamwork. They serve as an inspiration to all who aspire to commit to make a difference in their chosen field. We look forward to formally celebrating their achievements at the Induction Ceremony in November.”
Don MacDonald, Board Chair, Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame
