Ringette officials named for upcoming Canada Winter Games
Ottawa, Ontario – November 19, 2018 – Ringette Canada today announced the selection of its officials for the upcoming 2019 Canada Winter Games, the largest multi-sport and cultural event for youth in Canada. The games will be held in Red Deer, Alberta from February 15 to March 3, 2019. Ringette competition will run from February 16 to 22.
Attending the games as director of officials is Chad Weatherall (Calgary, AB); Iris Todd (Edmonton, AB) as supervisor; Brent Bunting (Barrie, ON), Jaimie Nelson (High River, AB), Karen Meek (Bowmanville, ON), Robert Drury (Whitby, ON), Jacki Leckman (Burnaby, BC) and Chris Faulds (Waterloo, ON) as on-ice officials; and Sharon Smit (Abbotsford, BC) and Michael Murphy (Rusagonis, NB) as shot clock operators. Also attending the games are Jennifer Leak (Ottawa, ON) as the technical representative, Kelsey McIntosh (Ottawa, ON) as the assistant technical representative and Alayne Martell (St. Peter’s, NS) as the sport information officer.

About the 2019 Canada Winter Games
From February 15 until March 3, 2019, the eyes of the nation are on Red Deer, Alberta as they host the 2019 Canada Winter Games – the largest multi-sport and cultural event for youth in Canada and the largest event to be hosted in Red Deer’s history. Featuring over 150 events in 19 sports and a major arts and cultural festival, the 2019 Canada Winter Games welcomes up to 3,600 athletes, managers and coaches and more than 100,000 spectators, with a significant forecasted economic impact.
