Team Canada selection camp to be held in Mississauga ON

Ottawa, ON – April 27thThirty-six of Canada’s top ringette athletes will gather in Mississauga at the end of May in the hopes of securing a spot on Ringette Canada’s junior national team.

Following the selection camp, which runs from May 19-23, in Mississauga ON, the roster will be announced. They will then continue to train for the upcoming 2022 World Ringette Championships in Espoo, Finland.

“Our junior national team selection camp brings together our top under-21 athletes from across the country for a chance at securing a spot on Team Canada,” said Frances Losier, Ringette Canada’s High Performance Director. “These athletes have been waiting a long time for this opportunity and will be giving it everything they have. We are looking forward to providing them with a training environment that allows them to reach their goals.’

Mark Beal (Cap Pele, NB) leads the junior national team as head coach, along with assistant coaches Keely Brown (Kitchener, ON), Andrea Ferguson (Winnipeg, MB) & Colleen Hagan (Manotick, ON).  Melinda Krulicki (Red Deer, AB) is the team’s athletic therapist and Jocelyn MacLeod (Winnipeg, MB) is the team manager.
